A note from the desk of Ed Johnson, Jr. - Owner:
Little did I know that what began many years ago as a college study program in
Jerusalem for my younger brother, Matt, would turn into the family business of
E.M.J. Enterprises. Each member of the Johnson and Antonsen families has
developed a special love for the people and land of Israel after spending
significant amounts of time there for vacation, volunteer work, study, and for the
month-long celebration of Matt and Franziska's wedding in 1996. After each visit,
the one memento that we were sure to bring home was a beautiful Balian
ceramic wall tile. Not only were these tiles a favorite of my family, friends and
relatives would regularly have us bring back "special orders" for their own homes
or for gifts. During an extended visit to the Holy Land in the Fall of 1999, Matt and
I met with Neshan Balian to establish a plan to have tiles specially designed for
us and imported to Highlands Ranch, CO, from where our newly founded
business, E.M.J. Enterprises, could make them available throughout North
America.
At the very same time, E.M.J. Enterprises began its publishing division with the
delightful book "Christmas Time in My House" by the mother-in-law—daughter-in-law team of Marty Johnson (author) and Franziska Johnson (Illustrator). Marty
Johnson's second book, Raise Up A Child with daughter Sue Antonsen
(Photographer) is now available. Signed copies can be ordered from this
website.
It is my hope and the hope of all of us at E.M.J. Enterprises that these products
will inspire you in your everyday living (Romans 12:1-2), bringing out the best in
families throughout the world.
Sincerely,
Ed Johnson, Jr., Owner
E.M.J. Enterprises
