Sue Antonsen — Photographer, Raise Up A Child
Sue Antonsen received her BA degree in Elementary Education from Western Washington University, where she had the opportunity to study abroad. Sue's interest in photography began to take shape on a trip to Siena, Italy (1990-91). Her photography has been inspired by the beautiful places where she has lived and visited, but above all she enjoys photographing the everyday activities of children. Her nephew and niece and her own children are her greatest inspirations and give her many opportunities to capture the gentle, joyful qualities that are unique to children. The photographs in "Raise Up A Child" have been taken in Italy, Israel, Washington State, Hawaii and Colorado. Sue and her husband, Don, first met in junior high school in Kirkland, WA, and now live in Highlands Ranch, CO with their two children.
